Which car key do you have?

Knowing the type helps us quote faster. We make and program all of these.

A chip in the head talks to the car's immobilizer. The blade can be cut anywhere, but the car will not start until the chip is programmed.

FAQ

Automotive locksmith questions

Do you make keys for my car?

We work on Japanese, Korean and American makes, from older metal keys to push-button smart keys. Tell us the year, make and model and we will confirm before we come out.

Is a locksmith cheaper than the dealership?

Often, yes, and we come to the car, so there is no tow. We quote by phone once we know the vehicle and key type, so you can compare.

What do I need to show?

Your ID and the vehicle registration or title. California law requires a locksmith to record this before opening or making keys for a car.

Can you come to a parking lot or the beach?

Yes. We work wherever the car is parked, as long as we can safely reach it: driveways, apartment garages, work lots and beach parking.
